The Audioengine W3 wireless speaker kit is perfect for retrofit situations where running speaker wire through existing walls and ceilings is not a practical option.
The Audioengine W3 wireless speaker kit comes with a transmitter and a receiver which can be powered via a USB connection or a plug-in power adapter. The transmitter uses a channel on the WiFi frequency band (2.4-2.4835 GHz) for a private connection to one or more stereo speaker pairs. The W3 speaker kit also includes 2 mini-jack (3.5 mm) cables and a RCA adapter Y cable for easy connection to all your gear. Up to 3 audio zones or speaker pairs can be connected to this WiFi channel by adding two W3R Receiver kits within a 100 ft range of the transmitter.
With the W3 Wireless Speaker Kit you can transfer music wirelessly from any audio device or computer to your Audioengine powered speakers (A2 or A5+), surround receiver, or powered subwoofer. Experience CD-quality HD stereo sound with no reduction in audio quality. You will hear all your music - no dropouts, static, or noise. Some pretty clever engineering means your music remains free from interference from wireless routers, cordless and mobile phones, microwave ovens, Bluetooth and other WiFi devices. Most wireless audio products are difficult to use because they require you to download and install software, set up a network, and often require you to manually try to find a clear audio channel. The W3 kit is plug-and-play so no software installation is needed - just connect both dongles to USB power or plug the power adapter into an outlet, connect the audio cables, and wait 2 to 3 seconds for the status lights to go solid.
