While IP cameras are great for remote monitoring of your home, and generally come with PC software to capture video on your computer, the software may not provide a suitable alarm notification beyond email when video of a potential intruder is captured. This solution provides a complete package for remote/local video monitoring and motion detection with flexible alarm notification and many other professional grade features.
The MAX4 DVR from ICRealtime serves as the basis for the home surveillance solution options listed below. This slim 4 Channel DVR connects to your home network providing local computer and Internet access to the attached cameras. The MAX4 DVR uses Enhanced H.264 compression technology based on the embedded high speed microprocessors and a LINUX operating system. This compression allows for clean viewing from the Internet over narrow bandwidth, which dramatically reduces required storage space for a single clip, greatly increases the number of video clips retrievable from a single 250 GB hard drive, and reduces the frequency of backups. This digital video recorder provides synchronized audio/video recording features including: scheduled recording, motion detection recording with alarm notification, video loss detection, 4 separate alarm inputs/ouputs, remote control of pan/tilt/zoom cameras, preset patrol/pattern/scan functions, video flip, video clip search via date and time with slow or fast playback, and backup to internal DVD/network drive/USB storage. The MAX4 DVR provides a home surveillance system with features normally only found in professional security installations for stores, warehouses, government agencies, education facilities, or the like.
The ICR 100X Mini-Dome PTZ Camera also from ICRealtime has WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) as well as DSS (Digital Slow Shutter) which produce unparalleled low light viewing. It is vandal proof as well as fully weatherproof and can be used indoor/outdoor. The very unique construction enables it to be surface, flush or wall mounted. The ICR100X interfaces with MAX4/8 DVRs to allow for full access to the OSD (on screen display) menu from a local PC or the Internet. The dome spins in 4 directions at 200 degrees per second with a very quiet step motor. This feature rich camera is recommended over a fixed lense camera when real-time remote monitoring of your home day or night is desired.
The ICRealtime EL-1000 is a medium to long range vari-focal IR camera. It uses a Sony super HAD sensor with 580 TV Lines and a vari-focal 3.5-10 mm AI lens. It is IP 67 which makes the camera ideal for outdoor applications. It has 21 IRs with a viewable distance of up to 75 feet. The EL-1000 comes with a sturdy mounting bracket which can be used as either a top or bottom mount. This capable camera is recommended when day/night outdoor intrusion detection around your home is desired.
For indoor home monitoring we recommend the ICRealtime PIR Camera. This realistic motion detector camera is for video capture in the home without making it obvious to anyone they are being monitored.
It is easy to install and integrates nicely into a MAX4/8 DVR system. The PIR camera comes with a 3.7mm pinhole lens and a 1/4" SHARP CCD sensor. This camera is not an independent motion detector, as the DVR will detect motion via video analysis.
A MAX4/8 DVR with any 4 up to 8 ICRealtime video cameras can easily be controlled like any other audio/video device in an entertainment center with a universal remote or from automation system interfaces in a Control4 or Life/Ware system.
